I believe that all of us who desire to live in harmony with the earth must do this NOW before MARCH! Even if the pole shift doesn’t happen in March, we still need to plant our food by then, in order to harvest in October. The earth will pass through the tail of Comet Elenin around October 31st. The Land Is Ours – ‘Pure Genius’ Wandsworth Eco Village (1996) – 6 min – Aug 5, 2008 I was one of the Oxford based organisers and press spokespeople for the Easter 1996 Wandsworth Ecovillage so here is what I consider the best film made about our bit of practical eco living political theatre. Wandsworth (Guinness site) John Pendragon and other residents comment on how and why they got involved in the TLIO occupation of the Guinness site just East of Wandsworth Bridge at Easter 1996. In May 1996, 500 The Land Is Ours (TLIO) activists occupied 14 acres of derelict land along the banks of the River Thames in Wandsworth. The land, owned by Guinness, had been vacant for six years, but was scheduled to be the site of a superstore (the ninth within a 1.5 mile radius) and luxury apartments. A pre-fabricated roundhouse was constructed, raised-bed veggie gardens were planted and a small village was built out of recycled materials. Local campaigners, particularly a guy called Kirk, were involved in building and running the eco-community, and thousands of folks came to visit. After holding the “Pure Genius” occupation for almost six months, 150 people on site were ousted by bailiffs acting for Guinness and the eco-village was flattened. The site was due to be designated as a nature conservation site by the London Wildlife Trust the next day. Incredibly, Guinness won an Ecology Sponsorship Award in Geneva the same week that they ordered the eviction.

Cloughjordan is a Small Place with High Hopes .It’s the 1st Eco-Village to be built in Ireland…. in Co. Tipperary. Maybe it’s not such a LONG WAY to Tipp. after all. I’d like to think it could work…but this philosophy might need to be carried into Highrise Dwelling also, where most of the world is going to live…… to be in the real world. ? Who am I to know. And . Around 70 protesters occupied an empty plot of land next to Kew Bridge in Brentford, London (NR TW8 0EW). They plan to setup an eco-village. Why did Gareth Newnham, Andy Baker, and Dean Puckett not want to know about commonly known as Dom’s Common Law knowledge and experience? Why did they not want to put the judge on his oath? In Dom’s experience this method has worked to at least adjourn the court case. Begging and pleading as a defendent, has failed time and time again so why do people insist on jumping through authorities hoops? Cause they’re robot radicals? Why do they claim to be free in spirit, and yet they insist on following court protocol? Why don’t they recognise good cutting edge innovative advice when they see it?

This is an incredible eco village, guest house, river resort, enviromental school, and herpatology research in a rich tropical setting on the Nam Lik river in Laos. Here are a few quick facts: 1. over 150 unique species of orchid, identified, catalogued, labeled w genus species, date of aquisition, date of flower. 150!!!!??? this alone is special… but 2. over 30 different species of snakes, both venomous and non on display, also documented, and collection is growing thanks to the mini economy created between the owner and village youth, who are constantly bringing new specimens for sale…While i was there i witnessed a 3 and half foot monitor lizzard, slightly wounded from dog bite, sell for about 15.00usd….a good deal had by all, as monitor doesnt taste so good im thinking,,and the 3 boys looked happy.. 3.fresh baked bread hot from the oven in the morning…he brought an oven with him..he’s french…what do you expect, and to our benfit…with fresh marmalade made from apricot!!mmmm 4. the meals served reflected his french background and featured whatever the village might bring over that day….with my luck, that day we had glorious fresh mushrooms from the forest!! with pork for lunch and beef at dinner, both outstanding. 5. finally, your host, richard, from france…a real character, and a real outdoorsman and naturalist if ever there was…he has dedicated his entire time in this jungle in lao, catching, cataloging, and bearing witness to just about everything …
